Teng Terd Terng plays Winai, a retired police inspector whose memory is slipping. He believes he still has a score to settle with his old arch-nemesis, Sua Hao, played by Joke So Cool. His daughter Woranuch (Bow Maylada Susri), a struggling actress, wants to keep him happy and out of danger. She recruits her ex, a traffic cop called Sergeant Toy (Kong Huayrai), and a gang of friends to stage fake crime-busting missions for him.
According to Netflix, the missions spiral out of control. The gang has to dodge two real officers who are watching them, and the real Sua Hao starts committing crimes again.
Director Prueksa Amaruji and executive producer Rergchai Poungpetch previously made the Thai comedy hits Bikeman and Riam Fighting Angel. Netflix says the film draws on the energy of Bollywood cinema. The main trailer, released on 8 October, shows mid-air fights and wirework, much of it in a market set built for the film.
Teng told Netflix the team built "an Indian-inspired market set so elaborate, it felt like a world of its own". He said playing Winai meant elaborate wirework and extravagant combat moves, and that he asked the director to set the wire rig higher "for maximum impact".
Bow said her role comes from a serious place despite the jokes. "She is on a mission to do whatever it takes, no matter how dramatic or extreme, to bring happiness to her father whose memory is fading."
Rergchai said the production had no creative boundaries, so the team was free to try its most extravagant ideas.
Netflix's own summary is shorter: the daughter "does what anyone would do" and recruits her chaotic friends to run a fake police unit.
