Jet Li's Romeo Must Die and Cradle 2 the Grave Get 4K Releases, and Romeo Is Uncut in the UK at Last
Toy Robot Video, Arrow Video's new label, puts both Hollywood Jet Li films out on 4K UHD and Blu-ray on 4 January, with Romeo Must Die fully uncut in the UK for the first time.

Toy Robot Video, the label Arrow Video launched in September, is putting two of Jet Li's Hollywood action films out on 4K UHD on 4 January 2027 in the UK (5 January in the US). Both Romeo Must Die (2000) and Cradle 2 the Grave (2003) come as two-disc sets with the film on 4K UHD and Blu-ray, each from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative.
Romeo Must Die was Jet Li's first English-language lead. He plays Han Sing, an ex-cop who goes to Oakland to find out who killed his brother and falls for Trish O'Day, played by Aaliyah in her screen debut. Toy Robot says this release is fully uncut in the UK for the first time. New extras include an interview with cinematographer Glen MacPherson and one with DMX's estate administrators, alongside thirteen older behind-the-scenes featurettes and the making of Aaliyah's "Try Again" video.
Cradle 2 the Grave pairs Jet Li with DMX as rivals who end up working together against a crime lord played by Mark Dacascos. Its new extras are interviews with Kelly Hu and composer John Frizzell, plus a DMX estate interview. Older features include profiles of the film's martial artists and a short on the camera choreography.
Both are £29.99 RRP in the UK, currently £25 to pre-order from the Toy Robot Video shop, and $49.95 RRP in the US, currently $35.
The same label has Hakuchi: The Innocent (1999) on Blu-ray from 18 January. Macoto Tezka's drama, starring Tadanobu Asano, is set in an alternate Japan where the Second World War never ended. It has a new interview with the director and one with Jonathan Clements, at £21.99 RRP (£16 to pre-order) or $34.95 ($25) in the US.
