Hello Kitty Moves Into FigJam, Then Throws a Free Birthday Party in New York
Figma and Sanrio put 12 characters into FigJam until 8 November, with a free Union Square pop-up on 7 and 8 November for the first 150 sweatshirts each day.
NYC pop-up ends Sun 8 Nov (23:00 UK)

Figma and Sanrio have put Hello Kitty and friends inside FigJam for a week, then taken the birthday party into the streets of New York. According to Figma's own blog post of 2 November, the digital side runs from 1 to 8 November 2026, and the offline events run from 6 to 8 November.
In FigJam, anyone can pick from 12 Sanrio characters, including Hello Kitty, Pochacco, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and Pompompurin. Choosing one swaps in character cursors, washi tape, sticky notes and photobooth frames. Figma also says the characters appear on Figma Community profiles and in themed Slides templates for the same week. Sanrio's first integration with Figma is how both companies describe it.
The free New York pop-up is at 12 East 14th Street on 7 and 8 November, from 10:00 to 18:00 Eastern Time. Figma promises a green Hello Kitty and Friends drinks truck, mystery keychains with a charm bar, photo spots, and a limited-edition sweatshirt and patches for the first 150 visitors each day. Entry is first come, first served. From 6 to 7 November, an Old Friend photobooth at 145 Allen Street runs 10:00 to 22:00 and hands out a free Figma and Sanrio photostrip.
Figma also says Friends of Figma groups are hosting more than 60 Hello Kitty and Friends meetups worldwide. No UK pop-up is listed on the blog.
The sweatshirts will go early. The FigJam stickers will outlast them.
