In UK and US cinemas 6 Nov
Godzilla Minus Zero opens in UK and US cinemas on 6 November, and IMAX early access screenings start three days earlier, on 3 November. It's the follow-up to Takashi Yamazaki's Academy Award-winning Godzilla Minus One, and Yamazaki is back as director, screenwriter and VFX supervisor.
According to the London Film Festival, the story is set in Japan in 1949. Pilot Kōichi, his wife Noriko and their adopted daughter Akiko are trying to recover from Godzilla's recent attacks when a new danger appears, while something stirs at the bottom of the sea.
It's also the first Japanese production filmed for IMAX, so the early access screenings are the ones to look at if you have an IMAX screen nearby. In the UK and Ireland, distributor Anime Limited is releasing it in Japanese with English subtitles. Japan gets the film on 3 November, Godzilla Day, which marks the anniversary of the original film's 1954 release.
Tickets are on sale now for all formats. UK bookings go through the official site, godzillafilm.co.uk, and US tickets through tickets.godzillaminuszero.com.
The IMAX early access date is also Godzilla Day, so expect a lot of people who already knew that.
