We've seen Bruce Lee on playing cards, skate decks, and more hoodies than a sparring session has rounds. Montblanc's new Great Characters Homage to Bruce Lee collection goes further into the details: a nunchaku-shaped clip, a dragon based on Lee's own artwork, geometric lines nodding to the Enter the Dragon poster, and — once you climb the price ladder — Jeet Kune Do symbols, urushi lacquer, and the recovery mantra "Walk On" engraved on a nib.

The Special Edition leans hard into the yellow-and-black Game of Death palette (yellow cap, black resin barrel with that dragon motif). Limited Edition 1940 is capped at 1,940 pieces for Lee's birth year; the fountain pen is priced at $5,300 in the US. Limited Edition 93 (only 93 made) shifts into hand-finished maki-e and urushi inspired by a reaction-training shield, with the Jun Fan Gung Fu Institute stamp and a JKD-marked nib — $50,500 in the US. At the top sits Limited Edition 8: eight examples at $223,000 each, solid gold, oak-and-bamboo dragon scales, and that "Walk On" line from Lee's back-injury recovery. A matching notebook and Dragon Smoke ink round out the stationery set. Available from October 2026 at Montblanc boutiques and online.

Be water — or be a fountain pen that costs more than a vintage Celica. Either way, the deeper editions are less about the jumpsuit everyone recognises and more about the ideas Lee kept off-screen.
