Hello Kitty Pours the Matcha in Paris for Beyond Cute

Hello Kitty: Beyond Cute opens at Galerie Joseph, 5 rue Saint-Merri in the 4th arrondissement, on Saturday 31 October and runs until Thursday 26 November. Sanrio lists it on its Hello Kitty Togetherness site, and Fever runs the ticketing.

The organisers say it lasts about an hour and is built around Hello Kitty's themes of kindness and togetherness. It is split into chapters. Calm starts with a lit tunnel and a matcha served among moving projections. Playful has art walls, interactive games and a piano feature that layers sounds as you play. Discovery ends at a large Hello Kitty display decorated with ribbons and messages, where you make a charm to keep or give away.

The ticket covers a Journey Book, the bag charm and the matcha drink, so there's nothing extra to pay inside. There is a shop with exclusive merchandise, but no food or drink for sale.

Adult tickets are €25, children €15 and students €20, with a family ticket for two adults and two children at €75. Tickets are only sold online through Fever, they can't be transferred, and refunds aren't allowed, though you can ask to change your slot up to 48 hours ahead, subject to availability. It's open 9.30am to 9.30pm, with last entry at 8.18pm, and the organisers say no further Paris dates are planned.

It's a short Eurostar hop for anyone in London, and the matcha is already paid for.
