XG Gave a Fuggler Eyelashes and Tooth Gems, and Now It's a Bag

Japanese group XG has turned Fuggler's three-eyed Annoyed Alien into a trading card crossbody pouch, on sale at the XG Official Shop since 13 October.

Fuggler, the funny-ugly monster brand whose plush creatures come with startlingly human teeth, has done its first collaboration with a Japanese artist. That artist is XG, the seven-member group, and Fuggler's owner Libertas Brands says the members had direct input on every design.

The main item is a Trading Card Crossbody Pouch, roughly 25 by 28cm on a 110cm strap. Fuggler's three-eyed Annoyed Alien (the XG shop spells it Annoid) sits on the front, with coloured eyelashes over all three eyes and XG tooth gems on its teeth. The shop page says each pouch is handmade, so size and texture vary slightly. It comes with spare tooth gems and instructions for gluing one back on with a toothpick and tweezers, which is more dental work than most bags ask of you.

There are also seven light stick custom parts, one in each member's colour, at ¥1,500 each. Each is a tiny Fuggler about 3.5cm tall that sits in the cockpit of the XG Official Light Stick Ver.1, built to look as if it's gripping the wheel. In the press release, XG suggest fitting the part to the light stick and carrying both into the venue inside the pouch.

The pouch costs ¥12,800. The collection first went on sale at the group's Melbourne show on 12 October and reached the XG Official Shop the next day. The shop lists prices in yen, and we couldn't confirm UK or US shipping from the product page, so check at checkout before you get attached to those eyelashes.
