True Crime in the Family Living Room: The Moons of LA Hits Audible

We've always had a soft spot for Asian and Asian American creators who sneak big ensembles into unexpected formats — web series then, audio comedy now. Audible's The Moons of LA premieres 8 October 2026, and the premise is deliciously nosy: Chloe Moon (Alyssa Abiera), a middle schooler hooked on true-crime podcasts, decides her parents' failing marriage is an open case file. Cue microphone, banchan with the halmeonis, and cross-examinations of Dad's golf buddies across Los Angeles.

The booth is stacked. Ken Jeong, Randall Park, and Daniel Dae Kim headline alongside Jae Suh Park, Jimmy O. Yang, John Cho, Sherry Cola, Vivian Bang, Sydney Park, and Liza Soberano. Written by Paul Bae (The Black Tapes), directed by James Kim (Moonface), and co-produced by Kim's 3AD with At Will Media and Audible under Kim's first-look deal. Kim frames it as Korean American identity meeting a universal argument about what "success" even means; Jeong's just grateful for the room and ready for people to hear it.

Press play when it drops. We'll be listening like Chloe — with a mic pointed at the drama.
