Premieres Wed 4 Nov on Disney+
The Remarried Empress, the live-action Korean drama based on the NAVER WEBTOON series, premieres on 4 November 2026 with four episodes. Two more arrive every Wednesday until the finale on 25 November, making ten in all. It streams on Disney+ in the UK and on Hulu and Disney+ in the US.
Shin Mina, of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, plays Empress Navier of the Eastern Empire. Her husband, Emperor Sovieshu, played by Ju Jihoon, tells her he has fallen for Rashta, a runaway played by Lee Seyoung, and wants a divorce. Navier agrees on one condition: she gets to remarry. She has Crown Prince Heinrey of the rival Western Kingdom in mind, and he is played by Lee Jongsuk of Big Mouth.
According to Variety, the webtoon has drawn nearly three billion views. Cho Suwon directs from a script by Yeoh Geena and Hyun Choongyeol, and Studio N produces. Variety reports that it was filmed in locations including European palaces.
The series had its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival in October, where three episodes screened. Disney+ says you can watch it in Korean with English subtitles or with an English dub.
