Sonny Angel Puts On Animal Headpieces and Metallic Parkas for a shu uemura Makeup Collaboration
The Makeup Angel Series is a blind-box set of five Sonny Angels, going on sale through Sonny Angel's US online store on 22 October.

Sonny Angel, the minifigure brand born in Japan, has teamed up with the Japanese makeup artist brand shu uemura for a holiday blind-box series called the Makeup Angel Series. The brand describes the theme as flying high and playing freely with makeup. Each figure wears a shiny metallic parka with an animal headpiece, and the brand says each spirit is named after a colour family from shu uemura's palette.
There are five designs in all, running from Artsy Peacock in purple shades to Shu-Shu Monkey in pinks, with Zen Deer in shimmery blues among the rest. On the US store a single blind box is $16.50 and a box of six is $99. Each customer can buy one full box or up to five singles. A box of six always contains two of the same figure, so a single box won't complete the set. There's no secret figure or Robby Angel in this series either, which Sonny Angel puts down to the concept being built around the collaboration.
The figures are listed at 63 to 94mm tall, which is roughly 6 to 9cm. Sonny Angel calls this a global release on Thursday 22 October, and the US online store opens orders at 3pm ET, which is 8pm in the UK. Members of the official online store get early reservations based on their membership rank.
I haven't seen UK stockists confirmed yet, so for now the US store is the one place I can point you to. The product shots show the figures posed next to lipsticks and an eyeshadow palette. The brand doesn't mention any matching cosmetics on the figure listing, so I wouldn't assume there's a makeup tie-in to buy.
