Chang Cheh's Blood Feuds Share a Slipcase with Flying Swords in 88 Films' Shawscope Triple
88 Films packs Vengeance, The Deadly Duo and Holy Flame of the Martial World into a three-disc limited Blu-ray set, out in the UK on 9 November.

88 Films is putting three Shaw Brothers titles into one rigid slipcase. Shawscope Triple Feature (88 Asia 55, 56 and 57) collects Vengeance (1970), The Deadly Duo (1971) and Holy Flame of the Martial World (1983) on Blu-ray for the UK, with a release date of 9 November 2026. The set is Region B, rated 15, and lists at £39.99 on the 88 Films shop.
Vengeance and The Deadly Duo are both Chang Cheh films with David Chiang in the lead. In Vengeance, Chiang's Guan Xiao Lou goes after the people who killed his brother. In The Deadly Duo he is paired with Ti Lung as rebels trying to free their prince from invaders. Holy Flame of the Martial World is the later outlier: wizards, flying swords and wirework, with 88 Films noting extras that talk about director Tony Liu. Runtimes are listed as about 102, 81 and 89 minutes.
The limited edition gets brand-new slipcase art by Sam Green, plus three double-sided posters and sleeves with new art on one side and the original theatrical poster on the other. Each disc has a high-definition 2.35:1 presentation, newly translated English subtitles, and commentaries. Frank Djeng and Michael Worth talk over the Chang Cheh titles. Vengeance also has an interview with David Chiang and a Tony Rayns piece. The Deadly Duo adds Godfrey Ho and James Mudge. Holy Flame has commentaries by David West and Frank Djeng, plus actors Jason Pai Piao, Yeung Jing Jing and Candy Man on working with Tony Liu.
Pre-orders are open on the 88 Films site. Whole orders that include a pre-order item wait until the last release date before they ship.
Three discs, one slipcase, and a Sam Green cover that looks like it already has blood on the jacket.
